ALDO PERSONALITY_ Though technically middle-aged, Aldo still holds a youthful vigor. Oftentimes being the tallest canine in the room, he holds an air of authority about him. Though not the most quick-witted, he is not averse to making decisions. He prefers to take his time and consider his options before deciding but will also make spur of the moment decisions when the situation calls for it. His sure-headed demeanor often puts him in the natural position of others following his lead. He prefers to use his actions over his words when it comes to proving himself, yet will fall to words to overcome conflict when possible. While Aldo is not one to back down, he also does not revel in the duties and responsibilities that come with leadership. HISTORY_ Aldo was born to a great dane mother in the confines of a puppy mill. He never knew the grass beneath his feet in his first weeks of life. The mill was shut down before he was weaned and he found himself in the company of humans. This was his first experience in a shelter-like environment. His "rescue" at nine weeks old came soon enough. Growing up, Aldo wanted for nothing. He had plenty of land to roam and a large house that was his domicile. His master, an elderly man, was nothing but kind at the hand when interacting with the dane. He would often romp with the young children who would regularly visit as well. Life was good. This is why it was all the more shocking when Aldo was placed back into the confines of a kennel within the city pound. During his imprisonment, he conversed with a few of the nearby canines, questioning their life stories and trying desperately to decipher what had caused his being there. From the sounds of things, others were in a similar situation of pure confusion. When the world crashed down, shaking from beneath his four solid paws, Aldo was one of the first to assist in freeing others from the rubble. With his size and sheer strength it was not only something he could easily handle, but something he believed to be purely right. |
